Thomas Lombardo, founder and president of The House of Portfolios Co. Inc., is a master craftsman in the custom made portfolio industry for over thirty years.

He began his apprenticeship in Italy, made steady progress in the USA and in 1990 single-handedly established his own company "The House of Portfolios" in New York, which today stands as a huge success.

As a leader in his field, one of the foundations for his success is the high quality and attention to detail that he takes in creating his unique product. The finished results are strikingly apparent in every portfolio The House of Portfolios produces. Most of his competitors produce items that are machine made. What distinguishes The House of portfolios from them, is that all portfolios manufactured are hand-made and custom designed for long-lasting beauty and durability. He personally supervises his production department who pride themselves on the selection and assemblage of fine materials to ensure customer satisfaction.

Mr Lombardo is often consulted on many aspects of designing portfolios from conception to completion. His warm engaging style give him an excellent rapport with customers. Though many of The House of Portfolios customers are demanding, they particularly value this exchange of ideas because they trust his judgement and artistic sense. About House of Portfolios

One of the most pleasurable aspects of running the London office of House of Portfolios is meeting both established and new customers whether they are established professionals or students who are making their first purchase through The House of Portfolios. Frequently I have new customers who have been recomended to us by customers who have made prurchases through House of Portfolios and this in itself reflects the satisfaction of our customers.

This website has been built solely by myself with the intention of making it much easier for people to understand the total cost before placing an order rather than giving the product cost and then having to add on freight for each item. As deliveries are sent in bulk to the London office over a certain weight which brings freight charges down we can then pre calculate the cost including freight in USA dollars to give an exact price in USA $-dollars per product which then can be converted in www.xe.com to give a fairly accurate conversion into £ sterling. With the conversion rate changing all the time it would be impossible to change the approximate £ rate every day on this site so this will be updated on the weekend only when trading in currency does not occur and use the $ - £ conversion rate at that particular time. The £ approximate price should therefore be used as an approximate guide.

The London office operates by appointment only, this is in order to give customers 100% of our time. Same day appointments are normally available to view our products. Our appointments are free of charge and do not have a time limit as I have found that sometimes new customers making their first purchase are overwhelmed by the range of products and colours available to them and may need up to 2 hours to browse our selection of products and have their questions answered or explained to them.
